How to choose a forklift work platform

Start with platform height or step count to match the work elevation you need; our assortment includes base sizes such as 36x36 and 48" and multiple base-width options. All models are steel and finished in orange, built to OSHA 1910.23 / ANSI-ASC A14.7; CAL-OSHA versions add the California Title 8 requirements.

Tread types and when to pick them

• Perforated: general-purpose use where basic drainage and grip are acceptable.
• Serrated grip strut: for wet or oily floors where extra traction is needed.
• Expanded metal: lets debris fall through to reduce buildup on the platform.
• Abrasive mat: suited to quiet or clean-room environments where noise and particulate control matter.
• Ribbed: common for stainless or aluminum platforms where slip resistance is required.

CAL-OSHA, assembly, and shipping

CAL-OSHA models are required for California and Canada job sites and are offered on three of the five product pages. Three product pages offer a factory setup (fully assembled) option; other models ship knocked-down for on-site assembly. All units ship factory-direct via LTL freight from Ballymore in Coatesville, PA to commercial addresses; lead times vary by model, so check the product page or ask a specialist.
